AC Tutorials: How to Set Up Associated Content’s Autoposting Feature
Ah, the ever reliable auto-post. Long gone are the days when you had to manually copy your article’s URL, convert it into a tinyURL and then post it into your Twitter status update. Associated Content now allows you to link your Twitter or Facebook account (or if you’re feeling eager, both) to your Associated Content profile, which automatically updates the Twitter or Facebook feed when a new article is published.
This is how the auto-post will appear on your Twitter or Facebook feed:

And here’s how to set up Associated Content’s autoposting feature to make it appear.
How to Set Up Autoposting on Twitter
1. Log into your Associated Content account and go to your Account page. Look below your profile information for a section of text that says “Auto-Post to Facebook, Twitter and Wordpress”. Click on the link “Click here to get started”.
2. Click on “Add a Twitter Account”.
3. Enter your Twitter Username and Password into the text boxes. It may take a second for Associated Content to verify the account. Once verified, click “Add”.
4. It may ask you to enable the Twitter feature. To enable it, click on the “Yes” radio button.
How to Set Up Autoposting on Facebook
1. Log into your Associated Content account and go to your Account page. Look below your profile information for a section of text that says “Auto-Post to Facebook, Twitter and Wordpress”. Click on the link “Click here to get started”.
2. Click on “Add a Facebook Account”.
3. Associated Content will automatically direct to its auto-post portal application. Click “Allow” to give it access.
4. It may ask you if you want to allow offline access. This essentially means it wants permission to access your Facebook account even when you are offline (for autoposting purposes). Click “Allow”.
5. Go back to the “Add a Facebook Account” page on Associated Content. Your Facebook account will display in the Facebook panel but won’t be enabled. To enable it for autoposting, click on the “Yes” radio button.
And that’s how to set up Associated Content’s autoposting feature! Now you’re all set for easy, hands-free promotion, with a possible increase in page views (and performance pay).
