About
Hello, and welcome to WritingJobResource.com–the writer’s guide to making money online.
And when we say specific, we really mean it. If we think time management is worth your time, we won’t tell you why–we’ll show you how to do it. That’s why WJR is different from other writing blogs. We teach–we don’t just inform. I started WJR in July 2009 as a place to post tutorials and writing gigs on popular user generated content (UGC) websites, such as Associated Content and Demand Studios. Growing frustrated with the lack of information out there–and fellow “writers” ripping people off for information they could easily learn for free online–I created WJR as an outlet to help beginning or experienced freelance writers improve their craft.
It didn’t take long before WJR also included writing tips, print gigs, and in depth tutorials for learning new skills and writing techniques. In 2010, WJR began including advice from guest authors, who were more than willing to share their perspective on what it takes to succeed.
Today WJR is a free, comprehensive resource for freelance writers who want to start their writing business online. Expect to see more tips, tutorials and free resources as WJR expands into 2011 and beyond. Remember, our goal is to see you succeed–it’s why WJR exists.
A Message From the Owner, Ann Olson
WJR’s premise is different from other writing blogs. In fact, it isn’t even a blog–it’s a tasty mix between a full-fledged website and a blog, nicknamed a “webbylog”. None of the content here contains facts that are already common knowledge (“Can you really make money writing SEO articles?”) or very generic content (“To write an article, start with a great paragraph!”). Instead, we deliver unique, specific content designed to make you a better freelance writer.
