How to Receive Associated Content Payments
First, let’s get this out of the way: if you’re not a U.S. resident or citizen over the age of 18, you cannot earn upfront payments with Associated Content. You can earn performance payments if you’re a non U.S. resident, however. If you’re under 18, you’re out of luck.
Now let’s get to the basics. In order to receive Associated Content payments, you need to do the following:
Confirm your PayPal email address. Associated Content only pays via Paypal, so if you don’t have an account, or don’t want to get one, you can’t get paid. You can enter your Paypal email address by accessing your account profile.
Verify your account. You can do this by logging into your profile and following the instructions there to verify your account (Associated Content will usually prompt you to do this immediately on your profile). You need to enter your phone number in order to complete the verification process.
Make sure to confirm any upfront payments. Click the “Payments” tab in your account and click “Confirm Existing Payments”. To have any upfronts auto-confirmed in the future, choose the auto-confirm option.
Associated Content typically distributes upfront payments two days after it is confirmed in your account console. After that, Associated Content distributes upfront payments daily, from Monday to Friday. Performance payments are automatically sent to your Paypal account the second Wednesday of every month (for example, if you made $5.50 in by March 31, 2010, you would receive that amount on April 7). You have to make at least $1.50 in performance payments in order to get paid, however.
