Review: DailyArticle.com

18 December 2009 One Comment
DailyArticle.com allows writers to sell their articles for a set price, like Constant-Content, and wait for it to be bought by a customer.  Once bought, the writer receives a portion of the sale price (the going rate is currently 80%).
In many ways DailyArticle.com is the less sophisticated cousin of Constant-Content because their quality standards are much lower, which can be advantageous to inexperienced writers who do not currently meet Constant-Content’s standards.
DailyArticle.com: How it Works
To submit an article, writers access their writer’s panel, where they can upload a text file of their article.  From there they can select the article’s price and its appropriate category.  Once uploaded, it is checked for duplication (they only accept unique articles) and adherence to its guidelines.  If accepted, it is listed in the category where customers can review it.
Unlike Constant-Content, which allows writers to sell their articles for exclusive, non-exclusive, or display only rights, Daily Article only allows writers to sell articles for exclusive rights.  Once it’s sold, writers lose all rights to their article.
Once sold, Daily Article usually pays the cut price (80% of the total price) a few days after the sale.
DailyArticle.com: Advantages
Daily Article will benefit beginning writers or writers who cannot meet the standards of other websites.  Other advantages include:
You get a higher paycut compared to Constant-Content.
Daily Article’s editorial standards are much, much lower.
You can submit article about any topic, provided it’s not illegal or too promotional.
Uploading articles is incredibly simple–just upload it at the writer’s panel, include your title and category, and set your price.
Daily Article pays immediately after the article is sold.
DailyArticle.com: Disadvantages
Daily Article is a great website for novices, but it does have some issues.  These issues include:
There are numerous glitches on this site.  Some cannot access or even see forum posts, and some articles do not show up in its appropriate categories.
Daily Article is not a very popular website–more people have better luck selling articles faster on Constant-Content.
It appears the customer base on Daily Article prefers cheaper articles.  Most writers set their article prices between $10 to $30 in order to ensure a sale.
DailyArticle.com: Final Verdict
Daily Article is a decent site to sell articles if you’re willing to lose all rights to your article.  The glitches are a major issue which detract both writers and customers, and unfortunately does not look like will be rectified soon.  If you’re willing to overlook these issues, however, this may be a great place to sell rejected articles–many people use it to sell articles rejected by Associated Content.
